Define the facilities needed
Describe the toilets, washing, rest and changing facilities your project requires. Include the number of people on site, working hours and any facilities already available, so the remaining requirement is clear.
If you need a canteen or break area, explain how it will be used. Meal preparation, seating and changing space should be named separately where they affect the layout.
Construction welfare requirements
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the workplace safety regulator, identifies washing, toilets, rest and changing facilities in its construction welfare guidance (hse.gov.uk). A generic office cabin alone does not establish that a site’s welfare requirements are met.
Describe your project’s welfare requirements separately from office space. Include any specification already established for the work.
Connections and ongoing arrangements
State what you know about water, electricity and drainage at the proposed position. If those arrangements are undecided, identify them as open questions rather than selecting a unit on assumptions.
Include requirements for cleaning, consumables, waste handling or attention during the hire period where relevant. These should be discussed as separate parts of the scope. For an existing unit with a problem, describe the observed issue and any current hire arrangement.
